• Founded in 2010 by Rodger Bayne and Dawn Morgan, a husband-and-wife team, Benefit Indemnity Corporation (BIC) is a program manager that builds and designs small group self-funded benefits plans and is a benefits general agent (GA), providing self- and fully insured and individual health insurance.

• BIC offers a wide range of innovative health benefit plans, from small group, packaged self-funded plans, to large group, fully customized designs.

• BIC agreed to partner with High Street Insurance Partners (HSIP), a Top 100 National Insurance Broker headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan.

• The acquisition provides HSIP with a strong agency with unique experience in the self-funded space. The partnership will help HSIP further expand into self-funded benefit plan design.

• The acquisition will allow BIC to hit the ground running and further expand its local presence. HSIP’s resources and expertise will allow for rapid expansion. Additionally, HSIP’s large national network will provide strong cross-selling opportunities for BIC.
