Overview of Transaction

  • Headquartered in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, WAG was established in 1993 by Richard Craft and Michael Bass to provide sound investment advice for 401(k) investment portfolios. In 2007, CBA was founded to provide comprehensive employee benefits coverages for fully insured and self-funded health plans. 

  • Today, CBA and WAG work side-by-side delivering holistic solutions for approximately 250 mid-to-large companies, non-profits, and individuals. 

  • CBA and WAG agreed to partner with World Insurance Associates, a top 100 Independent Property/Casualty Agency.

 

Significance of Transaction

  • The acquisition of CBA and WAG provides World with an opportunity to significantly expand its product lines/offerings. The acquisition provides World with a strong benefits book of business, as well as WAG’s investment advisory book. 

  • The acquisition will provide the CBA and WAG team with robust resources, as well as the support to target larger accounts with more complex risks.
